Warning: Don't let 2 year olds Drive

Well, we had a rather eventful night at the ballpark tonight. I was feeding Sophie in the front seat as I often do and Taylor and Ella were playing in the car (that was in park and turned off I might add). They eventually made their way to the drivers seat and were playing with the steering wheel. Ella accidently knocked the ignition into drive when the next thing I know we are rolling into the ditch in front of us only to be stopped by the truck parked nest to us and eventually my foot on the brake. It was a bit scary and could have been worse considering all 4 of us were out of our seat belts because the car wasn't supposed to be moving. A teammate ran to get Tadd from the ball field and after the game and the truck next to us was moved we were able to get pulled out of the ditch by Coach's Jeep and chain. Ella kept repeating "I don't want to drive anymore!" I have learned a lesson on safety and don't think she will be "driving" anymore for a long time!!

The graduation was cute the had the cap and gown and everything with the music and all. Here are some pics.

Headed Home

Well we're headed home from the Beach after a nice long family vacation. We really enjoyed our time away from home, reality, and work. It has been a long and difficult year for us since we were at the Beach last year and we really needed this time together just to get away. It will be tough to get back into the swing of things but I guess all good things come to an end, even family vacations. I'm sure I will be posting even more pictures from the trip for several weeks to come but here are some more that I thought were cute-enjoy!

Beach Bums

More Beach Pictures-we sure enjoyed being beach bums and spending lots of good family time together!

Dolphin Day

On our trip to the Beach we went to the Gulfarium on a cloudy day. We saw the Dolphin and Sea Lion show. Mom would be proud that we did something educational with the girls (even at their young ages). On our sister trips when we were younger we often had educational days or even educational trips so that they could teach Julie and I something while we were growing up. We often just complained because all we usually wanted to do was lay on the Beach or swim but we really did learn a lot on our trips and made a lot of fun and even educational memories. Here are some pics from the show.

Sophie is 3 months old!

Sophie is now 3 months old. She has really grown a lot and is getting more expressive. She is such a good baby and sleeps through the night. She recognizes us and smiles at us all often. She is starting to make noises and coo at us when we are talking to her. They just grow so fast and change so much when they are babies. I can't seem to play with her enough. Here are some cute pictures of us with her at the Beach.

Pretty Pink Polka Dots

We're still enjoying our trip to the Beach. I noticed we have a Polka Dot theme going on with the girls. They both have pink polka dot swimsuits with cover ups and then polkadot dresses. We've been taking lots of pictures and having lots of fun! Here are some of the cute polka dot pictures so far from this week.

Paradise

It's been 9 months today since Mom went to Heaven. While being on vacation I have had a lot of time to think and reflect on this long and difficult year. On the car ride to the beach we listened to a church series on Heaven entitled "Paradise." It compared Heaven to a Beach Vacation and talked about how we should look forward to Heaven just as we look forward to our Summer Vacations. This helped to remind me that Mom and Dad are now getting to enjoy Paradise for eternity and one day we will get to experience that with them. If this Resort we are staying at this week can advertise as Paradise then I can only imagine what Paradise in Heaven will be like.

Beach Beauty

Ella loves getting dressed up to go out to eat. She thinks that she is a Princess every time she gets to wear a skirt or a dress.

The sunset sure was pretty tonight!

Our attempt at some family pics. The 2 looking sure do look cute though.

Mommy's Girl!

Ella loves to play in the sand, even in her"Princess dress."

2 chins already-boy does she love to eat!

Sophie has discovered that she has hands that can move.

Beach Bound

That's right we are at the Beach!! We're having a great time and our place is so nice and very kid friendly. Ella had so much fun today playing in the pool and making sand castles with her daddy. Sophie pretty much just eats and sleeps and loves to be outside. I'll update with lots of pictures all week for family that has requested to see lots of pics. We were pretty lazy today and didn't take very many but we have all week to catch up.

There is a rock walkway by one of the many pools with waterfalls running over it. Ella calls it the monster rock cave and loves to run through it-what an imagination!

Daddy posing with Sophie. She was so good today and just ate and slept a lot!

Sound asleep on her Mommy!

Ella playing on the shaded play area. She loves it and made lots of friends already!

Ella's favorite pool to play in.

She loves to pick flowers, they will be lucky if they have any left when we leave!

Hair Cut

Ella had her first big hair cut this week and I think she looks pretty cute. Here are some pics of her posing for the camera after the cut. Sophie has lost all of her hair just as Ella did when she was her age. It will be a while before she has to have a hair cut. Enjoy the pics. E

Family Fun

Mothers Day was tough but we all made it through together. Gabby and Ginger came down and we all went to Taylor and Christian's softball tournament on Saturday. Then Aunt Ginger brought some finger paint from her classroom and all the girls (except Sophie of course) painted their handprints and several pictures for us. Here are some cute pics of the fun. Sophie's cute cry face summed up the emotions of the weekend for me and her big blue eyes and growing cheeks are just too cute not to capture.
