Double her Size

Sophie had her 8 week check up on Friday and has almost doubed her birthweight. She weighs 11lbs 4 oz and seems to be having trouble holding her cheeks up lately. Her weight is only 3 ounces off of Ella's weight when she was 8 weeks old. They also seem to look a lot more like each other especially in pictures. I found an old picture of me with my Mom when I was Sophie's age and we look more alike than I thought too. Ella is still doing pretty well with her. She told someone in Target today that she wanted her to see "HER new new baby." Then she told a friend that Sophie was her baby that came from her daddy, I thought we were too young for that lesson-ha! They definately keep me going and laughing-Elizabeth

Bathtime Buddies

Ella and her good buddy Brooks played in the bathtub today. They also had fun outside on the swing set and golf course "playing golf". They are real cute together and play like brother and sister since they are only 8 weeks apart. Sophie just hangs out in her bouncey seat waiting to be fed. I'm sure she and Brooks little brother Pax will be playing together like Ella and Brooks do soon. (Oh and I actually had both girls down for a nap at the sametime today for maybe the first time-yeah!)

Gymnastics Mondays

Ella takes a gymnstics class on Monday mornings. They are very cute and fun to watch at this age. They really just play and learn a few things and run out to the moms to take potty breaks a lot. She has been taking since June and started out in the Mom and me class that Mom loved to go and watch all summer. I guess Sophie will take the Mom and me class when she gets bigger too. Tadd just loves all these "girly" things we get involved with-far different from the many sporting events he grew up around. I'm sure those will start soon enough minus the football ha.

Gabby's BD Weekend

Gabby and Ginger came down for the weekend for Gabby's 89th Birthday and to see Julie's girls play softball on Saturday morning. They are on the same team this year and funny to watch. They remind us of the stories Mom told us about Julie and I running the bases with our toes pointed and doing cartwheels in the outfield. We have a lot of girls in my family (just ask Tadd) and made more sister memories together this weekend. Happy Birthday Gabby!!

This collage of Ella and Sophie was a present that we gave Gabby because she requested more pictures of the girls.

Easter Family Pics

This year Ella wasn't the only "farmer female" but she was the only one hunting eggs in the front yard. The way Sophie is growing she will be a tough match for her big sister Ella to find the most candy next year. On Easter Sophie was exactly one month old and made her first trip to Church and slept straight through. Here are a few pics of the blessed day.
