Ella had her 2nd Dance Recital back in May. She had a fun time taking Dance this year and they did a cute Tap dance that I can't get to upload. She had really improved since her first year she took Dance when she was 4 and she looked so grown up and tall. She is taking Gymnastics this Summer so we will see which one she wants to take this next year!
Seth is now 16 months old. (well almost 17 now but I took these pics a while back and I'm just getting to the post) He is a busy, sweet boy who is becoming more like a little boy and not a baby anymore:( They grow up way too fast! *He is walking everywhere now and loves to climb and stand up in his seats! *Not sure of his weight/length now, wears a size 4 diaper just now and 18 months or 24 month clothes. *He's talking more and says Daddy, Mommy, Ella, Bye Bye, bite, milk, and probably a few more... *He has a sweet personality and loves to laugh a lot. *He is a bit of a Mommy's boy and doesn't like me to hold other babies much and sometimes not even his sisters. Although he doesn't want me to rock him to sleep as much which makes me a little sad. *He loves to be outside or throwing a ball and wrestling with his Daddy at night. *He will take a ball or anything else he likes to throw and say "Thow" *He likes when we go for walks or swinging on our swing set or at the park. He hasn't been swimming yet but he should enjoy that too bc he loves his baths. *He is still a great eater and loves just about anything you give him. *He has 3-4 sippy cups of whole milk each day and a good breakfast, lunch, and dinner and snacks anytime. Favorites are bananas, cheese, strawberries, yogurt, chicken nuggets, anything with a straw... *He has atleast 10 teeth (including 2 top molars) *When he's tired he holds his ears and rubs them. *When his sisters take something away he screams until they give it back. *He doesn't like to be told no. (which may be good later) *He is a great sleeper and sleeps all night in his bed (usually 12 hours) *He usually gets one good afternoon nap a day. We all love him so much and feel very blessed to have him in our family.
Ella was in her school's Talent Show last month. She and 5 of her other friends did a Razorback dance/cheer routine. They were cute and had the crowd excited, cheering, and calling the Hogs with them! She really enjoyed being in it again this year. Our little Cheerleader Seth-one of her biggest fans! They even had a cute run through and fog machine for props. Getting ready to Dance and Cheer! It was a cute Talent Show that was fun getting ready for!
Sophie had a Movie Birthday Party for her 4th Birthday! We have a little movie screen upstairs and the kids all watched the movie Smurfs. They all did good and seemed to have a pretty good time! She had a fun little party on a beautiful day. Sophie putting her hand print in one of the Birthday cakes that Gram made! The cake was as good as it looked. We had some little movie snacks with popcorn, whoppers, and twizzlers. And even more sweets:) The fun little snack table. The Popcorn cake that Gram made too. She also made her good sugar cookies-little movie tickets and stars to go along with the party theme! Sophie wanted to have some little glow-in the dark bracelets to give her friends for the movie-she's so funny! Sweet little smile! Candle time-she sang Happy Birthday to herself the whole way to Preschool on her Birthday then really loud over all her friends that sang to her at her party (and yet she acts so shy while at Preschool-silly girl). Cake time-I ate lots of cake and cookies for a week-yum!! Opening her presents. I tried to take some pictures of the whole group watching the movie with their snacks but they were too dark. Sophie had a fun party and a fun week of celebrating!
I have to try and remember a few of the things that she is up too. During her Birthday/Party week she had a few melt downs with all of the excitement and lack of naps. During one of the melt downs she said, "I don't want to be 4, I want to be 1!!" (I told her that was how she was acting-ha!) We spent her Birthday afternoon with a picnic lunch and some fun time at the Park-it's been so nice outside lately and we are loving the weather. On the day of her party she was a little upset and cried bc she couldn't go swimming for her Birthday Party! She is so sweet, sassy, and silly!!
I am married to my wonderful husband of almost 10 years, Tadd. We have two beautiful daughters, Ella Faith who is almost 5 and Sophie Sue who is 2. We are also expecting our son, Seth Benjamin sometime in November. I started this blog as a way to keep up with pictures and events in our lives with 2 busy little girls. I work very part-time as a Social worker and enjoy helping people. My husband is an Engineer and also works hard with me at home. One day I hope to turn this blog into some type of scrapbook for my kids. We love God and are involved with our church. Our goal is to raise our family focused on God and all of the hope and joy he brings us even during tough times.
